TAKE-A-LABEL TAL-750HD Electric Label Dispenser (with Photo Eye)
The TAL-750HD is the largest of the three dispensers. Featuring a full 7.5" web capacity with an option to upgrade it to 9", this unit also features a heavy duty unwind system. This system makes it easier to remove and replace the supply rolls as well as create more unwind tension for those hard to dispense labels.
The TAL-750HD Electric Label Dispenser (with Photo Eye) is customizable with 6 different optional add-ons (descriptions listed below).

Motor Options:
- Standard Motor: the standard unit motor has a dispensing speed of just under 4" per second. The drive of the motor is the waste shaft, so as the waste accumulates, the gear ratio changes, and the motor will begin to speed up. Please be aware that standard unit motors will overheat after ~25 minutes of continuous run time.
- High-Speed Motor: the high-speed motor allows the user to set the speed from 0-9" per second. This motor is a DC motor that is rated for continuous use forever.
-
Constant Speed Motor: this motor uses the same drive system found on the Take-A-Label applicators which allows the dispensing speed to remain the same throughout use - this is found to be important in applications where there is a robot grabbing the labels off, or if there is a need to print on a label and the speed of the label cannot change over time (as seen with the standard motor)
- Smart Jet Inkjet Printer: the Smart jet Inkjet Printer is an optional printer that can be added to the constant speed motor unit. This printer will print on virtually any label stock. This printer is a great solution when you need to add an expiration date, a batch code or other information to a label prior to application. Using a wireless keyboard the printer is easily programmed. Using trusted Hewlett Packard technology and capable of printing up to 6 lines of information the Smart Jet Inkjet is a great solution for coding your label. Printer only prints while the label roll is moving.
Optional Add-Ons:
- 18" Roll Adapter: use this if you are using a roll of labels that has up to an 18" diameter. The base model has a maximum roll diameter of 12".
- 9" Wide Label Kit: use if you are using labels up to 9" wide.
- Fan Fold Adapter: this adapter allows for use of fan folded labels. This adapter can be taken on and off with the original setup.
- Heavy Duty Cooling Fan: this fan is mounted on the underside of the housing and is designed to run whenever the unit is "on." The motor also still has its standard fan, but that only runs when the motor is going. This add-on is ideal for hot work environments and/or for units that are planned to be in constant use.
- Label Counter: this add-on allows the user to have the labels used to be counted.
- Reciprocating Ink Code Imprinter: the Reciprocating Ink Coder allows you to imprint an alphanumeric code on the label prior to application to the product. This is commonly used for batch codes, expiration dates, or lot codes. Printing can be adjusted to print horizontal or vertically. The Reciprocating Ink Coder is similar to the Smart Jet Inkjet Printer except the imprinting is done with a stamp.
