Our Story

Lamar Packaging Supplies was established in August of 1989 by Larry Diosy.  Formed out of a basement with one phone, a fax line, typewriter, and a single delivery van. As times have changed so have we with our top of the line website, order tracking, personal attention to orders, hand deliveries and so much more.

Lamar warehouseIn business for over 33 years, we have become a successful packaging supplies distributor locally and throughout the USA.  Now utilizing an all-new e-commerce website released in 2020, featuring over 15,000 products, customers can find the products they need quickly with ease.

In the early years of the company, when resources and technology were limited, the successful growth of the business can only be contributed to our devoted customer base and relationships formed over the years.

Earning our customers’ confidence and trust that their packaging needs would be taken care of, in a prompt and personal way, led to 3 decades of experience in caring customer service.

Naming the business LAMAR, by combining (La)rry and (Mar)cie we strive to keep a family oriented personal relationship with each and every customer. After the passing of Marcie in 2004 we have continued to keep that legacy.

Larry started Lamar Packaging Supplies in 1989. He is a veteran and spent his earlier years serving in the Armed Forces (Army) 101st Airborne, Vietnam. He began working in sales and supervision for 14 years before establishing Lamar Packaging Supplies, Inc. Larry has over 47 years experience in the packaging supply industry.

Shannon has been with Lamar Packaging Supplies since 1997. She has a range of office managerial and customer service experience including handling vendor purchase orders, helping our customers find the products that fit their needs, training office employees, supervising product inventory and order fulfillment, records management, internal operations, and website development.

Tyler has been with Lamar Packaging Supplies since 2004. He has been involved with managing the product line warehouse, supervising and coordinating customer deliveries, training delivery drivers and warehouse employees, as well as research, development and graphic design of the business website.

Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Akron, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
